StockTrak is a popular stock market simulation platform, having empowered millions to learn about stocks and sharpen their trading skills. In 2019, I was approached by Greg from StockTrak to design a mobile app that would meet the needs of beginner users. My primary focus while designing the app was to create a user-friendly experience with a clear structure and intuitive layout. I carefully selected fonts that were legible and easy on the eyes, even when displaying complex numerical data. The navigation was designed to allow for seamless and effortless browsing throughout the app.

Designing the app presented numerous challenges, particularly in considering the beginner level of the users. One of the most complex pages was the stock detail page, which required presenting a vast amount of information on different trading instruments such as stocks, options, futures, funds, future options, bonds, and spots. Balancing the level of detail with accessibility was a constant challenge, but I approached it with dedication and attention to every detail to ensure a seamless user experience.

I made the whole page in line with StockTrack brand guidelines by using consistent colour and typography. Every details were carefully considered so users can focus on the most important information on each page.

As part of the project, I also designed the dark mode by carefully picked colour styles that aligned with StockTrack brand. The project was completed in just two weeks with lots of back and forth feedback. Overall, I really enjoy working with Greg for this project.
